What's in Orange Essential Oil

Ancient Apothecary Orange Essential Oil
For topical, aromatherapy or dietary purposes.
Orange essential oil is wonderful for its scent and healthy constituents, the most prominent of which are limonene (which is about 85–96 percent of the extract and a potent antioxidant) and myrcene (0.5–3 percent).
Have you ever noticed the slight amount of oil that comes out when cut into an orange or when you’ve “zested” its skin to use the outer peel in recipes? The strong taste and aroma that come from the oils are exactly what’s concentrated in orange essential oil.
Orange essential oil has a variety uses. With a delicious, zesty, citrus-packed taste, it’s no wonder that it’s added flavor to beverages, desserts and more. It’s also been commonly used in soaps, body lotions and creams.
Orange essential oil is extracted from the peels of oranges that are cold-pressed. Some of its potent components include alpha pinene, citronellal, geranial, sabinene, myrcene, limonene, linalool and neral—components that combine to make it a sensational essential oil!
In fact, orange essential oil is a great oil to have to pamper and fortify you while filling up your senses with its crisp, citrusy scent.
Cautions: Possible skin sensitivity. Consult your physician before use, especially if pregnant, nursing, taking medication or if you have a medical condition. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes, and sensitive skin. Keep out of reach of children.
