What's in Coriander Essential Oil

Ancient Apothecary Coriander Essential Oil

For topical, aromatherapy or dietary purposes.

Coriander has a sweet, warm, spicy scent and is calming to the both the mind and the digestive system.

The coriander plant is native to Morocco and grows to approximately one meter high, bearing fine, feathery leaves and white or light-pink flowers, followed by green seeds.

Used for millennia by the Egyptians as an aphrodisiac, by the Romans and Greeks for flavoring their wines, and in India in cooking, coriander seeds have been used for millennia. In fact, coriander seeds were found in King Tut’s (Tutankhamun’s) tomb.

Coriander essential oil is often used in aromatherapy, and has a sweet yet spicy aroma. Plus, it’s nearly colorless to pale yellow in appearance.

Long recognized for promoting healthy digestion, coriander can also help support a healthy complexion and promote a sense of relaxation.

Coriander’s natural linalool content makes it beneficial for skin, while its scent can relax and energize simultaneously.
